some studies from classes




These r a few QS pages from class, mostly LAAFA studies, although number 2 is our very own Van Metcalf, the greatest model to grace a stage. He is an actor taboot, and yes, the poses were nude, I added the clothing with what time I had as inspiration to the poses. These are all 5 minute poses I believe.

It was good talking to you last wk, nice to get some positive encouragement once in awhile compared to all the meant to break u critiques we get up here.
These quick sketches are exactly what im looking for...im working on developing a quick sketch technique applied to ID, with three attributes: originality, efficiency, and attractiveness.

I'll try to stay in contact more often.

This was for a show we did at Studio2ndstreet called Changes. The Idea was to remove an idea from our culture that a commercial vehicle built; Thomas Kinkade's cottages do not represent quality fine art. First, that quality fine art is nothing more than a Print, or more eloquently put, a Giclee, that has a few factory placed(stamped) wax and varnish made raised brush strokes. drapery class

We teach a class that goes over procedures for drawing the figure clothed. This semester was a really productive semester and all the students improved considerably from the beginning to the last class, and it was awesome to see the rapid growth. These are demonstrations and quick sketches from that class.
